Bruce Campbell Movie in Minneapolis
Looks like Bruce Campbell is coming to the Twin Cities on Dec 5th to promote his new movie: My Name Is Bruce. I just might have to go to this. (Army of Darkness is one of my favorites.) Looks like he’ll be at the Lagoon Theater.

I’ve tried free web hosting services before and had limited success but had a student that uses freehostia.com and has said she has had good luck with it. 250MB storage plus PHP and MySQL support. I’ll have to check this out sometime.

Great Gimp Tutorials →
I’ve always enjoyed using GIMP as a free alternative to Photoshop. The main problem is finding tutorials. Here’s a nice collection of 30 tutorials. Now I just gotta find time to try them out.

Found a free little disk utility program called JK Defrag that (so far) seems to work a lot better than the built-in Windows Defrag tools. I’d also recommend using ccleaner before running this to remove old files and tune up your registry.

Found an excellent place for deals on all sorts of software for students called Unique Software down in Eagan, MN. All sorts of student discounts, especially for Adobe products. The student version of the Adobe CS3 Design Premium is only $295. That includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver. Pretty good deal for students.
Facebook Redesign
I’ve been hearing about the redesign of Facebook recently but haven’t seen any major changes to my profile page. I just found out you have to go to new.facebook.com to see the updated version. I like the new interface, seems a little easier to find stuff.
